Becoming A Step-Mother

Step-mother is what a woman becomes when married to a man that already has a child.

Becoming a step-mother needs proper thinking as it is more than just acting like a mother, it is becoming a real mother to children that are not yours biologically.

Recently and also in the past, there has been rampant stories of women maltreating their husband child/children most of which leads to death. This act is bad and devilish.
Going into a marriage like that needs extra patient, thoughts and wisdom from above. You will definitely see reasons why you need to beat them or talk to them but all these are to be done in Godly manner showing care as a mother.

SOME STEPS TO CONSIDER AS A WOMAN
1. You must be sure that your proposed step-children have accepted you wholeheartedly. You must have created a good relationship with them while visiting their father during courtship.

2. You must have accepted your proposed husband's child/children as yours without any form of doubt.

3. You must be sure that it is what you want i.e It must be your true intention.

4. If you can't become a mother to children that are not yours, don't marry a man with kids.

5. Never subject yourself to hard lesson. As much as you think the man is yours, you should remember that his children are very important in the family

Every decision in life has their own consequences... Think deeply before you act.

Premier League Chaos: “A laughing Stock”

After a series of incidents involving the Video Assistant in the first half of Sunday's game pundits and ex-players expressed their frustrations Stan Collymore has lead the way among former players and commentators criticising VAR after a series of controversial incidents in the Premier League match between Man city and Tottenham.
The former Liverpool forward labelled the VAR protocol “p*ss poor”, and “a f*cking omnishambles” on Twitter at half-time on Sunday.
The Video Assistant intervened three times in the first half at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, once to review a potential red card for a challenge by Raheem Sterling and twice for possible penalties for City.
Sterling, who was booked by referee Mike Dean, escaped further punishment for a hard challenge that left Alli limping for several minutes.

Serge Aurier was then retroactively adjudged to have fouled Sergio Aguero, almost two minutes after the initial incident, which Dean had waved away, leading to a penalty for City.
Ilkay Gundogan saw a poor spot kick saved by Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal with Sterling going over the ‘keepers arm from the rebound and VAR again checking for a penalty.
A confrontation followed, involving Sterling, who escaped further censure, despite bookings for Toby Alderweireld and Oleksandr Zinchenko for their roles in the incident.
All these factors combined to drive Collymore and others to vent their frustrations on social media.

UNAVOIDABLE DEBT

DEATH

Proud you must be
Bringer of so much pain
In your twisted face, disaster breeds
Infirmities are released
O ye, you unwanted guest
Preying at the hearts of the innocent
Endless tears Mark your footprints
Wrinkled and broken are the hearts you ensnare
Definitely you'd visit but not at the beginning of time
Cold are the hands that behold you
Ash are the lips you smother with kisses
O you enemy of mankind
Lover of the soil
Of the rots and decay of the deceased
Death be not proud
Leave no legacy till we get to meet no more

JEALOUSY OR MADNESS?

Jealously is normal in everyone, we all have a level of jealousy in ourselves but we tend to control this before it get out of hands. We sometimes love people and materials without a wish of losing them to anyone but when killing the people we claim to love, it is termed madness and not love.

There are different happenings today that warrant us to think twice while claiming to love or jealous.

One of these happenings to learn from is a story about a woman named Maryam Sanda was sentenced to death by hanging for the murder of her husband, Bilyaminu Bello.

Bello had a woman named Amina Shagari in his life before he later got married to Sanda. Bello and Amina were so good together and everything was going on well, until Maryam Sanda came into the picture as the second wife. The first wife had to leave her husband place beacuse of the high level of Maryam jealousy.

An ugly incident happened one day because the wife went through her husband phone and saw a nude and some romantic chats with his desire to get a new wife.
She got so upset and threatened to quit the marriage. She demanded for divorce and threatened to kill the husband or cut off the genitals if he refused to grant her request. The husband's friend was with them for hours, trying to make peace but Sanda was just too angry to listen.

She broke a groundnut bottle in an attempt to stab her husband but the broken bottle was collected from her. She went on to break the perfume bottle, but the husband collected it. Knives were said to have been collected from her severally during this period.
The husband's friend got injured in the process. The only child in the house was crying but no attention was given to her by her angry mum.

The husband's friend eventually got tired and left with the intention to go and call their other friend but unfortunately came back to meet the death of the his friend Bello. He was said to have bite marks, stab wounds in the chest, close to the heart and in the genitals.

Maryam Sanda called on her mother and brother and the maid to tamper with the evidences. They were all charged but it was later dropped.

Maryam was pregnant with Bilyamin child when this incident happened. She gave birth to the child in the prison. The marriage was two years old as at when the incident happened, they had two children together.
At a point, Maryam was released on bail cos of health issues but  unconfirmed reports have it that she went home and threw a birthday party for the child. It was the talk of the town.

"It has been said that thou shall not kill. Whoever kills in cold blood shall die in cold blood," the judge said.
"Maryam Sanda should reap what she has sown," he said, adding, "it is blood for blood".

Without doubt, the woman deserved what she got but think about the babies she left behind, who will take care of them? Is death really the reward of what her husband did?

Let's read this other story too.... Last year, a 20 years old student of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti allegedly stabbed her lover, to death.
The lady who was a 300 level student of the department of Biology education stabbed her lover to death for refusing to give her #2,500 to make her hair.
According to the report of this story, the lady had demanded for #2,500 from her lover who happen to be a student of EKSU then, to make her hair but argument ensued after the lover refused to give her the money.

During the altercations, Odeyemi stabbed her lover in the chest and his cry for help attracted the neighbors, but unfortunately he did not survive the injury.

The lady in question was immediately arrested and we can all guess what it will lead to...

Sanda in her own story got uncontrollable for hours while she was angry which is very bad. Meanwhile, the fact that she got angry wasn't bad but the fact that she kept expressing the anger continually for hours with different weapons can be termed deadly. She never had the time to consider her kids as well as where her such act will take her to and for the fact that she stabbed her husband severally and inflicting different wounds on him show that it is no more jealous but madness.

Meanwhile, we can say Odeyemi had little time to think about what her action will lead to but that doesn't justify her own madness too. In relationship, supporting and caring for your partner is good but this shouldn't be one sided. Seeing guys as a fund givers in relationship is wrong and it is a well known fact that many ladies survives quite well without depending on a man.

With these two stories above, we can see that there is no good in being over jealous and giving room for anger. This two things can be managed properly if given considerable time, take time to put your anger to check, listen to pleads and think more about the end point of your action before taking them.

God help us...

Achievement of man depends on God's grace as we all know but the grace shines brighter on you through your commitment and hardwork.

Omotoso Olutayo Olusogo won a scholarship sponsored by the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Nigeria to study at the Newcastle University, United Kingdom. There, he beat every other first class student from around the world to emerge the best with distinction.

According to Omotoso Olutayo who hails from Araromi Ekiti in Ijero local government "It was not my first time anyway, as I have won several academic awards. These include the Rector’s Award for the Overall Best Student in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti (2004), HOD’s Award for the Overall Best Student in Power System and Machine at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State (2017), etc. Yet, my award at the Newcastle University is special. It gives me one of the most blissful moments of my life being celebrated in one of the world’s topmost universities; though a lot of sacrifice, commitment and self-denial of fun were involved. I feel good that the feat has propelled me to the next stage of life having won another full scholarship for Doctor of Philosophy/Doctor of Engineering (PhD/EngD) programme at one of the top ranking universities in the world".

My area of specialisation is Electrical Power, which includes Power System Stability and Control; Power Electronics for power system and mobility applications using wide band gap technology. My class capacity was 50. Graduating as a top student in MSc Electrical Power came as a surprise to me for the fact over 80 per cent of the students were best candidates from their respective countries. Again, most of them had their first degree in the developed world with state-of-the-art teaching facilities, conducive teaching and learning environment and, most importantly, in high-ranking universities. I want to believe that the grace of God stood me out. Considering human efforts, I would say consistent study, persistence in solving problems were tools that propelled me to the top.

Students who want to be on top must be hard working, observe consistent study, and be relentless in problem solving. In fact, such students’ education/academic perspective must be unique and different. For me, I see education like taking a bath to look healthy rather than look good. That is, I view education/academics as a way of acquiring knowledge to impact the world positively rather than money making.

Omotoso has been able to prove something to through his commitment and hardwork. No matter how long, a day will come when your hardwork and commitment will smile on you.

HAPPINESS: A Key To Long Life

It is very important to know that the key to long life is HAPPINESS. Smiling makes you look simple and accommodating.

Happiness is a free gift of nature that makes all man kind. According to researchers, it has become a known fact that sickness penetrates more into a sad body than a happy body. Sickness like High blood pressure, Stroke and so on gain more power as a result of sadness.

Having it is so powerful that it affects almost everything in your life. Your happiness impacts your sleep, your relationships, your health and your work. Happiness is the highest form of wellness. Many people equate happiness with success..

Note: Happiness may bring success, but success alone will not bring happiness.

Why you need to be Happy

1. Long life is assured
2. When you stay happy, your health will improve
3. You will be free from worries
4. People tend to associate more with happy people
5. Your world will be lively

Staying happy has so many benefits. You can choose to be happy because it is a choice and can be created. Depending on people for happiness often brings unexpected sadness, so it is always advise to create one's happiness by oneself.

How can I create my own happiness?

1. AVOID GETTING ANGRY EASILY
To be realistic, we will always come across different things to get us angry but as happiness is a choice so does anger. You can decide the way you respond to everything that can get you angry. This does not mean that you should allow people to look down on you but you can stay on your feet without getting angry. When anger comes, talk to yourself 'am better than this', you can work away at first and get back after dealing with the anger in your mind.

2. BECOME A JOY GIVER
Happiness is not about how much you have. It is more than riches, you can't make people sad and expect to be happy. When people around you are happy, you will definitely be happy too.

3. DO WHAT YOU LOVE
I often tell people that if you face difficulties while doing what you love, you will be willing to face the challenges until you overcome them all but you can easily be defeated if you have less passion for what you do. What you do can always determine your happiness.

4. SPEND YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON WHAT GIVES YOU JOY
People often likes dictating their fellow men happiness but it is in your power to say no and do only the things that gives you joy.

5. SMILE
When you crack a smile, your system feels calm. Smiling releases endorphins, which combat stress hormones. Smile when you hear jokes, don't be too serious always.

The above mentioned ways are not all but few important ways to make yourself happy.

Be Happy... Stay Healthy

Can You Take It?: Say Your Own!....Be part of this hot topic.

Men and women are created equal but men are said to be the head, especially in a family setting.

Women are expected to honour their man and be submissive to him. In our environment here as an African, a woman that want to stay long in her husband's house and enjoy her family need to be very humble and patient.

Meanwhile, some men want more respect and can force their way to get it. It is not a new thing that some ladies are so disrespectful but is it right to correct wrong with wrong?

I know of a man, while we were talking about ladies in general, he happily shared the story of how he always beat his wife, he said “the only way to correct a woman as well as gain her total respect is by beating her real good”. Meanwhile, I have also come across a lady (single) that said she likes guys that correct through beating, she said guys like that can't be boring.

It is obvious that some ladies like to be corrected by beating and also that some men see beating as a way to gain total respect from their women.

Is beating woman a good way to really get their total submission?
What can you say about guys that beat their woman and also women that loves been beating...
This is a serious issue what is your view about this ???!!!!
Say your own... Drop your own opinion about this.

Story of Madam Janet, a popular beans seller in Abeokuta.

SEBIOTIMO ELEWA SAPON. (Madam Janet Odesola, the famous beans seller in Abeokuta)

"Sapon" was extracted and coinage from the word "Saponloore.... Se Apon loore" meaning; help the bachelors).
Sapon was the meeting place where people, especially men who had not married used to go and eat delicious foods and drink in those days in Abeokuta.
Sapon connects Ijaiye, Ago-Oba, Itoku, Lafenwa, Isale Igbein and Ake roads.

Many people are unaware of what led to the popular slang "Sebiotimo, elewa sapon", literally meaning "Cut your coat according to your size".

Now sit back and let me tell you.

There was actually a woman called Madam Janet Ewusi Odesola who was selling Beans at Sapon. Important personalities, Kings, Govt officials, Men, women and children loved her sumptuous cooked beans with stew, Ewa Pekule.

Madam Janet was born in 1925 and went to Methodist primary school, Ijoko Abeokuta. She was initially hawking dry fishes, before she forayed into cooked beans in 1951.

Her beans was selling very fast despite cooking a big bag of beans daily.
People bought with cash and when they were out of cash, they buy on credit.

It got to the point that the beans seller could not handle the credits anymore!

She devised a means of preventing people from buying on credit.
Whenever they came to her, she asked for money, if it was 10kobo they had, she sold 10k worth of beans.
If they beg for more beans on credit she told them, "SEBIOTIMO;" that is, "cut your cloth....."

With time, people got used to her new style. Before they asked for more, they already knew the response she would give.
As a result, they nick named her "Se biotimo, elewa sapon".

More so, she only sold one big pot of beans per day, she did not cook extra. So, when people asked her why she didn't cook more, she would reply; "Mo se bi motimo ni") meaning "I cut my cloth according to my size".

In this new year, Sebiotimo! Cut your cloth according to your clothes. Don't overstretch your hands. Limit yourself to what you can afford.

Compliment...

Overcoming Stress

Stress is the body's reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. Stress is a normal part of life. You can experience stress from your environment, your body, and your thoughts.

Let's consider this Bible passage to create a focal point..

“I know where I came from and where I am going.” Jn 8:14 NIV

Know what you want to accomplish. Jesus said, “I know where I came from and where I am going”.

Can you say that too? Unless you plan your life and establish priorities, you’ll be pressured by other people to do what they think is important. Every day you either live by priorities or you live by pressures.

There’s no other option. Either you decide what’s important in your life or you let other people decide for you.

It’s easy to operate under the tyranny of the urgent, to come to the end of your day and wonder, “Have I accomplished anything at all? I used up a lot of energy and did a lot of things, but did I achieve anything important?”

Busyness is not necessarily productivity. You may be spinning in circles but not accomplishing anything of real value.

Preparation causes you to be at ease. Or to put it another way, preparation prevents pressure, whereas procrastination produces pressure. Good organization and good preparation reduce stress because you know who you are, who you’re trying to please, and what you want to accomplish.

Having clearly defined goals simplifies life. So spend a few minutes at the beginning of every day talking with God in prayer. Then look at your schedule for the day and decide: “Is this really the way I want to spend a day of my life? Am I willing to exchange the next twenty-four valuable hours for these activities?”

The right answer to those two questions will lower your stress level by helping you prioritize.

A wise man said, your past is a waste paper, your present is a news paper and your future is a question paper. What do you do with waste paper? Of course you throw it away!

Generate a new strategy to do away with external pressure put upon you by people. Prepare your way and be stress free.
