Creativity: Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti Students has done it again!

It Is not a new thing that Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State students are one of the best in the Nation in term of Technology.
Some Students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti have recorded another breakthrough in science.
The students have succeeded in using their expertise to build several technological devices such as drone, hydrogen gas, hydro power plant, oxy acetylene gas welding manifolds, Ethanol for powering generators and energy through water force among others.
The exercise which was supervised by lecturers in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, gave the students opportunities to explain how they carried out the projects and its aims.
Defending the projects, some of the students, including Omotoso Micheal, Ajayi Temitope explained that they were able to achieve the feat through the help of competent and qualified lecturers in their department.
The students promised to utilize such skills beyond the four corners of the classroom.
Reacting to the development, the Head of Engineering Department, Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, Engineer Olorunisola Abayomi noted that the students were well trained to compete with their counterparts in the labour market and called on Federal and State governments to invest in the institution and the students for better breakthroughs in science.

Also, the supervising lecturer of the students that produce the hydro power, Engineer. Kayode Afuye urged Ekiti state government to take advantage of the invention to provide electricity for its citizens.
On the drone, the project Coordinator of the Department, Engineer John Momoh explained that, if the project was properly funded by government it could be used to fight insecurity affecting the nation through surveillance. 
On his own, Dr Ejiko Samuel who supervised the students that produce ethanol and gas through waste of animals explained that the product was more economical and environmental friendly.
Speaking on the important of oxy acetylene gas welding manifold, Engineer Nurudeen Olawole said it would ensure safety of the students while welding unlike the old method.
The lecturers appreciated the spport of the Polytechnic Rector, Dr Dayo Oladebeye called on the Federal and state governments to invest in Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti for students of the institution to make the country proud in the area of technological advancement.
