Understanding what 'Relationship' is.

There is need to understand certain thing before doing it. You don't just go to school because people are doing so, you must understand why you need to go to school. So also you must understand what relationship is all about before indulging in one.

Relationship is a close connection between two people, especially one involving romantic or sexual feelings. We have other definitions for relationship but we are going to use this one since it has what we need.

Relationship is like a learning school, you need to understand that it is a stage where you learn and practice what you have learnt while growing up. You learn how to tolerate someone that has different perspective about life. You give what you can take, open to a different way of life, share different orientation and be ready to learn from each other. There is tendency for youth to listen to their partner better than they listen to their parents. So, imagine if your partner is a bad type, it means you have chosen a bad teacher.

Relationship is not a do or die affairs, it can work (i.e. leads to marriage) and it might not work (i.e. leads to no where). Understanding this point and choice of people will help reduce the level of suicide and murder after breakups.

Understand why you want to go into the relationship and let your partner also know. Be very sure your intentions are similar and play your role well, let the rest be decided by God. Meanwhile, not all relationships leads to marriage, some are just for you to learn but don't make the lesson hard for yourself.
